Beaconsfield will be celebrating The Queen’s 90th Birthday

Beaconsfield Town Council will be celebrating The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations by the lighting of a Beacon at 7.30pm on Thursday, 21st April 2016 at Beaconsfield Rugby Ground, Oak Lodge Meadow, Windsor End, Beaconsfield, HP9 2JP.

The Beacon will be officially lit by The Hon. Mrs. Jenefer Farncombe DL, Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.

The Beacon Lighting ceremony in Beaconsfield will be part of a celebration in which over 1000 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, UK Overseas Territories and a Commonwealth Country to celebrate this landmark birthday.

Bruno Peek, LVO, OBE, OPR, Pagaentmaster, The Queen’s 90th Birthday Beacons said, “It has been an enormous privilege to be able to oragnise this amazing community event to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen. I am delighted to see so many different organisations playing their part”.
