Memory Support Service In Beaconsfield

The Memory Support Service is commissioned by Buckinghamshire County Council and Aylesbury Vale Clinical Commissioning Group and Chiltern Clinical Commissioning group and is delivered by Alzheimer’s Society. We provide post diagnostic support for people with dementia and their carers and help people to develop coping strategies, provide appropriate information to allow people to manage their care and signpost to useful organisations to access assistance as needed. We also provide memory screening assessments in people’s homes for people who are concerned about their memories.

The Dementia Information & Support sessions are designed for people in the early stages of dementia and are delivered in various locations across the county. These consist of six 2 hourly sessions for groups of up to 10 people and include understanding of the diagnosis, tips & strategies to help manage the condition, information about available services and  there is also time to share with other members of the group. Please contact the Memory Support Service for more information.

For people who are concerned about their memories, we provide two hour Memory Information Sessions across Bucks. The sessions cover understanding of memory, coping tips and strategies and healthy living advice. There is no need to register and anyone who is worried about memory is welcome to come along.

Please do contact us if you would like more information, a supply of leaflets or to arrange a meeting with a Memory Support Worker: 01296 331749 or e-mail
